Mass is Saturday, May 4th at 5 PM at the Blessed John the 23rd Diocesan Center 3700 Sheridan Blvd.

See Something, Say Something - Please limit the number of items you drop off prior to the race on Sunday morning. Volunteers and law enforcement will be screening each participant bag prior to accepting them. The fewer items to look through, the quicker the screening can be accomplished. The same procedure will take place at the start line. Any last minute items may be turned over to race volunteers at the start. Avoid “hiding” any belongings.

Running With Scissors by Janet.  We are looking for 12 special people who are willing and able to donate their long beautiful ponytails to a fantastic cause!  Wigs 4 Kids is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, which helps cancer patients and other young people with similar appearance-related challenges that cause hair loss such as: alopecia, trichotillomania, lupus, hydrocephalus, burns and other disorders. This program is available to any child or teen (ages 3 through 18) in the state of Michigan at NO cost to their families.

In order to qualify as a donor your hair must:
• Be a minimum of 10 inches (25.4 cm) in length
• Cannot be colored or chemically treated• Be cut as a ponytail on Saturday, May 4, at packet pick up for the Lincoln National Guard Marathon and Half-Marathon.

Everyone who qualifies and donates will receive a complimentary haircut and style from Running With Scissors by Janet after race day. All donors may schedule an appointment with Janet at her salon in Omaha, NE, at their convenience. To donate, please contact Janet at 402-981-7620.
